Sacred Heart Christian Academy
Where faith, nature, and academic mastery meet.
A Message from the Founder
Sacred Heart Christian Academy was born out of a deep calling to provide a higher standard for our children’s future. After eight years of dedicated service in public education, I saw firsthand the growing gaps in both academic mastery and behavioral expectations.
I began to realize that for many children, the traditional classroom had become a place of distraction rather than discovery. While there are many dedicated teachers working hard within the system, I felt called to create something different; a place where children could slow down, focus deeply, and truly learn things of lasting value. Rather than being driven primarily by testing and performance measures, I believe education should cultivate understanding, curiosity, and wisdom that children carry with them throughout their lives.
I envisioned a sanctuary: a warm, welcoming environment where students are not just names and numbers on a roster, but individuals created in the image of God. Each child deserves to be known, guided, and encouraged according to their unique gifts and abilities.
Sacred Heart Christian Academy is my effort to bridge those educational gaps by providing a comfortable, home-based setting that fosters both academic excellence and a deep, faith-filled character. Here, children will be encouraged to develop strong academic foundations, meaningful work habits, and a love of learning that will serve them throughout their lives.
As both an educator and a mother, my goal is to build a program that I would feel confident and joyful sending my own children to; a place grounded in faith, simplicity, and genuine care.
It is my prayer that Sacred Heart will be a blessing to local families and a place where children can grow in wisdom, knowledge, and love of God.

Our Educational Philosophy
Three Foundations of Learning at Sacred Heart
At Sacred Heart Christian Academy, our approach to education is built on three simple foundations. We believe children thrive when learning is rooted in faith, connected to the real world, and guided with personal care.
I. A Christ-Centered Foundation
We believe that God is the source of all truth and that education should lead children closer to Him. Faith is not treated as a separate subject, but as the foundation of everything we do. Whether studying reading, mathematics, history, or the natural world, students are encouraged to see God’s order and purpose in His creation.
Our goal is to help children grow not only in knowledge, but also in virtue, gratitude, and a love for what is good and true.
II. Learning Through Nature and Meaningful Work
Children were not made to sit indoors all day. At Sacred Heart, students will spend time learning both inside and outside in a peaceful rural setting.
Through gardening, nature study, practical skills, and hands-on projects, students gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. These experiences help children develop responsibility, patience, and appreciation for God's creation.
We believe education is strongest when children can see, touch, and experience what they are learning.
III. Personal Attention and Strong Foundations
Small class sizes allow each child to be truly known and supported. With a maximum 1:10 student-teacher ratio, instruction can be adjusted to meet individual needs.
Some students need time to strengthen foundational skills, while others are ready to move ahead. Our goal is to help each child make steady progress and develop confidence in their abilities.
By focusing on strong academic foundations and good habits, we seek to form capable learners who are prepared for future success.
Who We Serve
Sacred Heart Christian Academy is designed to support homeschooling families who desire a Christ-centered and back-to-the-basics approach to education.
Our program is best suited for families who value strong academics, meaningful work, time outdoors, and a peaceful learning environment. We partner with parents in their role as primary educators by providing consistent instruction, guidance, and support throughout the school week.
Sacred Heart may be a good fit for families seeking a slower and more intentional approach to learning; one that emphasizes faith, good habits, and meaningful knowledge in a setting where children are known and supported individually.
We serve elementary-aged students in grades K–5 and maintain small class sizes in order to preserve a close and supportive learning community.
Because Sacred Heart Christian Academy is a small, home-based homeschool assistance program, enrollment is based on mutual fit between the school and each family. Our goal is to ensure that every student who enrolls can thrive in our environment and benefit from the instruction and support we provide.
While we strive to support each student to the best of our ability, Sacred Heart does not offer specialized educational or therapeutic services. Some children may require services or accommodations beyond what we are able to provide in our setting. Families are encouraged to share any specific learning needs during the enrollment process so that we can determine whether Sacred Heart is an appropriate fit.
Sacred Heart Christian Academy reserves the right to determine whether the program is an appropriate fit for each student.
